It highlights the sanctity of auspicious transition rites done with joy and dharmic order—where the community, led by brāhmaṇas, supports the devotee’s sacred passage, reflecting harmony between worldly dharma and devotion to Śiva.
Though the verse is narrative, it supports Saguna-bhakti: honouring Śiva’s divine household (Śiva–Pārvatī) and their līlā. Such remembrance is treated as auspicious and devotion-enhancing, preparing the mind for reverence toward Śiva’s manifest forms including the Liṅga.
Takeaway practice: perform a brief maṅgala-smaraṇa (auspicious remembrance) of Śiva–Pārvatī, and recite the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with a joyful, sattvic mind before beginning any dharmic rite or daily worship.
