पार्वतीवाक्यं—शिवस्य परब्रह्मत्व-निरूपणम्
Pārvatī’s Discourse: Establishing Śiva as Parabrahman
स सर्वासां हि विद्यानामधिष्ठानं सदाशिवः । किं तस्य विद्यया कार्य्यं पूर्णस्य परमात्मनः
sa sarvāsāṃ hi vidyānāmadhiṣṭhānaṃ sadāśivaḥ | kiṃ tasya vidyayā kāryyaṃ pūrṇasya paramātmanaḥ
Indeed, Sadāśiva is the very ground and support of all branches of knowledge. What need has that perfect Supreme Self for knowledge as a means, when He is already complete in Himself?
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: teaching
It establishes Sadāśiva as the ultimate substratum of all knowledge, implying that all learning is dependent on Him, while He—as the Pati, the perfect Supreme Self—depends on nothing for completeness.
Linga-worship points the devotee to Shiva as the formless foundation behind all names and forms; by honoring Saguna Shiva in the Linga, one recognizes that even sacred knowledge arises from Sadāśiva, not the other way around.
Treat japa and meditation as remembrance of the Source of all vidyā—regular Panchākṣarī japa ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") with steady contemplation that Shiva is the inner support of all understanding.
