Brahmā said: Having spoken thus, that Lord of the worlds—the one who had brought forth the progeny—became silent. Then Girirāja (Himālaya), with affectionate reverence, addressed Śambhu as follows.
Brahmā
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
It marks a transition from proclamation to receptive silence: after the Lord of the worlds speaks and becomes quiet, the devotee (Himālaya) approaches Śiva with praṇaya—devotional love mixed with reverence—showing that divine grace is met through humble, affectionate surrender.
Śambhu is approached as the personal, Saguna Lord who listens and responds within sacred history; this reflects how devotees approach the Liṅga as Śiva’s accessible presence—offering devotion and prayer after scriptural instruction is given.
The implied practice is śravaṇa (listening) followed by praṇaya-bhakti (reverent prayer): sit in silence after recitation, then offer a heartfelt request to Śiva—ideally with japa of the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
