तपोरत तपस्थानसुतपः फलदायिने । तपःप्रियाय शान्ताय नमस्ते ब्रह्मरूपिणे
taporata tapasthānasutapaḥ phaladāyine | tapaḥpriyāya śāntāya namaste brahmarūpiṇe
Salutations to You—ever absorbed in tapas, the giver of the fruits of sacred penance performed in holy places; the lover of tapas, the Peaceful Lord, whose very form is Brahman, the Supreme Reality.
Parvati (offering praise to Lord Shiva)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Mantra: तपोरत तपस्थानसुतपः फलदायिने । तपःप्रियाय शान्ताय नमस्ते ब्रह्मरूपिणे
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
The verse honors Shiva as the inner Lord who rewards sincere tapas and reveals His highest nature as Brahman—teaching that disciplined devotion culminates in peace (śānti) and liberation.
By praising Shiva as both the approachable, worship-worthy Lord (Saguna) and as brahma-rūpin (the Supreme Reality), it aligns Linga worship with Shaiva Siddhanta’s path: devotion to the manifest leads to realization of the transcendent.
It suggests tapas supported by japa and steady contemplation—practically, disciplined repetition of the Panchakshara (Om Namah Shivaya) with a calm mind, offered to Shiva as the giver of spiritual fruits.
