Śiva-jñāna and the Non-dual Vision of a Śiva-maya Universe (शिवज्ञानम्—सर्वं शिवमयम्)

यदेच्छा तस्य जायेत तदा च क्रियते त्विदम् । सर्वं स एव जानाति तं न जानाति कश्चन

yadecchā tasya jāyeta tadā ca kriyate tvidam | sarvaṃ sa eva jānāti taṃ na jānāti kaścana

Whatever arises as His will—then indeed this whole manifestation comes to be. He alone knows everything; but no one truly knows Him in His full reality.

It establishes Shiva as Pati (the Supreme Lord): the cosmos proceeds by His icchā (divine will), and while He is the all-knowing consciousness, His ultimate nature transcends the limited knowing of bound beings (paśu).

Since Shiva cannot be grasped completely by the mind, the Linga and other saguna forms function as accessible supports for devotion—allowing the devotee to approach the transcendent (nirguna) Lord through sacred symbol and worship.

Meditate on Shiva’s omniscience with japa of the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and steady Linga-dhyāna, cultivating surrender to His will rather than ego-driven control.
