दशशैवव्रतप्रश्नः — Inquiry into the Ten Principal Śaiva Vratas
यामे चतुर्थे संप्राते कुर्यात्तस्य विसर्जनम् । प्रयोगादि पुनः कृत्वा पूजां विधिवदाचरेत्
yāme caturthe saṃprāte kuryāttasya visarjanam | prayogādi punaḥ kṛtvā pūjāṃ vidhivadācaret
At the fourth yāma, as dawn arrives, one should perform its visarjana (formal ritual dismissal). Then, having again completed the prescribed preliminaries of the rite, one should continue the worship in the proper, scriptural manner.

It emphasizes disciplined devotion: worship is not only invocation and offering, but also proper completion (visarjana) at the right time, reflecting reverence for Shiva’s sacred presence and the order of dharma.
In Saguna worship of Shiva as the Linga, rites often include invocation/establishment and a concluding dismissal; this verse highlights that the devotee should conclude respectfully at dawn and then continue worship following the authorized procedure.
Perform visarjana at the fourth yāma (dawn), then repeat the essential preliminaries (prayoga-ādi—such as saṅkalpa, ācamana, nyāsa/mantra-setup as applicable) and proceed with vidhivat Shiva-pūjā.
