She sat at ease upon a comfortable seat—her right hand beautifully holding a golden lotus, while the other hand, resting like that of a dignified attendant, bore a ceremonial fly-whisk (chamara).

The verse presents the Divine Mother in a serene, auspicious, and royal form—signifying Shakti’s grace (anugraha) and her role as the compassionate power through which devotees approach Pati (Shiva) in Saguna worship.
In Shaiva Siddhanta, devotion often begins with Saguna contemplation—visualizing Shiva and Shakti’s divine attributes. Such descriptions stabilize the mind for puja and dhyana, which then mature into deeper recognition of Shiva as Pati beyond form.
Use this imagery for dhyana before Shiva–Parvati puja: visualize the Devi seated peacefully with lotus and chamara, then proceed with mantra-japa (especially the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and offer flowers (lotus/flowers) in worship.
