Then he envisioned the garden of wish-fulfilling trees and a mansion built of jewels. Having duly worshipped the red pedestal, he began the rite from the Lord’s feet, proceeding in the prescribed order.

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It emphasizes reverent, ordered worship of Saguna Shiva—approaching the Lord through sanctified symbols (abode, seat, feet) and cultivating a pure saṅkalpa (intent) as the foundation for grace.
The verse reflects the standard Shaiva puja approach: honoring the pīṭha (support/seat) and then worshipping from the feet upward, a method used in both Linga-puja and deity-form worship to express humility and proper krama (sequence).
Perform krama-puja beginning at the feet (pādārchana) after sanctifying the seat (pīṭha-pūjā), maintaining a focused saṅkalpa; this can be paired with japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) during the offering sequence.
