The verse emphasizes purity, simplicity, and careful guardianship of the worship-base (pīṭha). In a Shaiva Siddhanta spirit, disciplined preparation of the sacred space supports steadiness of mind and devotion, helping the bound soul (paśu) turn toward the Lord (Pati) without distraction.
