Exposition of the Supreme Method of Creation and the Tirodhāna-Cakra
बहुनेह किमुक्तेन मुने सारं वदामि ते । शिव एवेदमखिलं शक्तिमानिति निश्चितम्
bahuneha kimuktena mune sāraṃ vadāmi te | śiva evedamakhilaṃ śaktimāniti niścitam
O sage, what need is there for many words here? I shall tell you the essence: this entire universe is truly Śiva alone—Śiva endowed with the supreme Power (Śakti); this is firmly established.
Lord Shiva (teaching a sage in the Kailāsa-saṃhitā philosophical discourse)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Umā
Role: liberating
It condenses the Purana’s metaphysics into a single conclusion: Śiva (Pati) is the all-pervading reality, and the cosmos is understood through His inseparable Śakti—guiding the seeker from multiplicity to the essential truth for liberation.
If all is Śiva with Śakti, then worship of the Liṅga becomes a focused, saguna support for realizing the same all-pervading Pati—training the mind to see Śiva’s presence in every form while remaining anchored in His transcendent lordship.
A practical takeaway is Śiva-smaraṇa (constant remembrance) through japa of the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and meditating that all experiences arise within Śiva’s power (Śakti), supported by simple Shaiva observances like bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa where applicable.
