FAQs

It identifies Shiva as Pati—the supreme consciousness who is both the essence of liberating knowledge (Vedānta) and the revealer of it, indicating that moksha arises through His grace and right understanding.

Though Vedānta points to the formless truth, the Shiva Purana upholds that the same reality is worshipped in accessible form as Shiva—especially through the Linga—so devotion and contemplation mature into direct realization of the Vedānta-meaning.

Practice steady japa of Shiva’s mantra (especially the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with contemplation that Shiva is the inner teacher who reveals the highest meaning, supporting meditation aimed at liberation.
