Sukta 2.12
यो जात एव प्रथमो मनस्वान्देवो देवान्क्रतुना पर्यभूषत् । यस्य शुष्माद्रोदसी अभ्यसेतां नृम्णस्य मह्ना स जनास इन्द्रः ॥
yó jātá evá prathamó mánasvān devó devā́n kratúnā paryábhūṣat | yásya śúṣmād ródasī abhyàsetāṃ nṛmṇásya mahnā́ sá janāsa índraḥ ||
He who, born at once as the first, the luminous-minded god, encompassed the gods by his will and power of action; from whose force Heaven and Earth were set trembling—by the greatness of his heroic might: he, O peoples, is Indra.
