महोदरवधः (The Slaying of Mahodara)
एवमुक्तस्तथेत्युक्त्वाराक्षसेन्द्रोमहोदरः ।प्रविवेशारिसेनांतांपतङ्गइवपावकम् ।।6.98.6।।
vānarāś ca mahāsattvāḥ pragṛhya vipulāḥ śilāḥ |
praviśyāribalaṃ bhīmaṃ jaghnus te rajanīcarān ||6.98.8||
The great-souled Vānaras too, seizing massive rocks, charged into the dreadful enemy host and struck down the night-ranging Rākṣasas.
Having spoken like that by the king of Rakshasas, Mahodara entered the army of the enemy like a moth enters fire.
It portrays collective action in service of a righteous cause—standing together against terror and injustice, even with improvised means.
As Mahodara assaults the Vānara host, the Vānaras counterattack by rushing into the Rākṣasa ranks wielding boulders.
