Seeing those vānaras broken and driven back in battle, Sugrīva stationed Suṣeṇa to steady and protect the troop, and then turned his mind to a bold and wondrous course of action in the fight.

Thus, both close to each other, both redoubtable armies, of Vanaras and Rakshasas, both powerful and terrific, both mighty, roared as if the great ocean had burst.

Dharma as leadership-duty: a ruler/commander safeguards weakened allies first, ensuring protection and order before pursuing personal glory.

Sugrīva notices vānaras routed by enemy pressure; he reorganizes by appointing Suṣeṇa for defense and then re-enters the fight decisively.

Responsible leadership and compassion—Sugrīva prioritizes the safety of his fighters while maintaining battlefield initiative.
