Having duly paid respect to Rāvaṇa, those great chariot-warriors all stood with folded hands, wishing for their lord’s victory.
All the great chariot warrior spraying to Ravana with folded palms stood desiring success.
The verse reflects maryādā (proper conduct): even in war, formal respect and protocol are observed within a hierarchy.
Senior warriors acknowledge Rāvaṇa formally and await or prepare to carry out his will in the coming battle.
Respect for established order and disciplined decorum.
