युद्धाय रावणस्य निर्याणं तथा उत्पातदर्शनम् (Ravana’s Mobilization for War and the ظهور of Fatal Portents)

“Today, in battle, with each single arrow I release, I shall pierce a hundred upon a hundred of those fierce Vānara warriors who fight with trees,” declared Rāvaṇa.

"Today in the combat each one of the arrows released by me will pierce through one hundred monkeys vehemently fighting with trees"

R
Rāvaṇa
H
Hari (monkey-warriors)
D
druma (trees)

The verse highlights how pride exaggerates and devalues life. Dharma upholds the worth of beings and condemns boasting that treats mass killing as achievement.

Rāvaṇa attempts to intimidate by claiming superhuman lethality against the vānaras.

The vānara virtue implied is fearlessness and devotion in dharmic service; Rāvaṇa’s speech foregrounds arrogance rather than valor guided by righteousness.
