For the welfare of the gods, the great-souled Pitāmaha Brahmā, well pleased, addressed all the deities with these weighty words.
"Gratified by the worship of Devatas, wishing them good, Brahma spoke these words."
True authority serves welfare (hita): Brahmā responds to sincere worship with guidance aimed at restoring balance and protecting dharma.
After being worshipped by the Devas, Brahmā becomes pleased and begins to instruct them with an important pronouncement.
Prasāda (gracious favor) joined with responsibility—Brahmā’s benevolence is oriented toward the common good.
