The great sages murmured, “Let there be well-being for the worlds”; and the Gandharvas, together with the Cāraṇas present there, departed in distress.
Sages murmured saying" may this world be well." Gandharvas, Charanas (who came to see the battle) went distressed.
Compassionate universal welfare (lokakalyāṇa) is a dharmic ideal: even while witnessing war, sages pray for the well-being of all worlds, reflecting truth and benevolence rather than partisan hatred.
Celestial observers react to the battle’s severity: sages offer a blessing-prayer, while Gandharvas and Cāraṇas withdraw in distress.
Karunā (compassion) and maṅgalabhāvanā (benevolent intention toward all beings).
