मुष्टिनाभिहतस्तेननिपपाताशुराक्षसः ।लोहिताङ्गइवाकाशाददीप्तरमशिर्यदृच्छया ।।।।
muṣṭinābhihatas tena nipapātāśu rākṣasaḥ |
lohitāṅga ivākāśād dīptamaṃśir yadṛcchayā ||
Struck by that fist, the Rākṣasa fell swiftly—like a blazing, ruddy-hued meteor that, by chance, drops from the sky.
Struck by the fist of Sugriva, the Rakshasa fell just as the glowing planet endowed with brightness accidentally fell from the sky.
Adharma is unstable: even what appears ‘bright’ (powerful) can suddenly fall when opposed by rightful force and courage.
After being hit, the Rākṣasa collapses rapidly, compared to a falling meteor.
Sugrīva’s decisive strength; the simile highlights the opponent’s abrupt downfall.
