Shloka 6.76.45

युद्धे अङ्गद-मैन्द-द्विविद-राक्षसयुद्धम्; कुम्भस्य प्रादुर्भावः तथा सुग्रीवेण पराभवः (Sarga 76: Angada and the Vanara chiefs battle Kampana, Prajaṅgha, Yūpākṣa, Śoṇitākṣa; Kumbha enters and is checked by Sugrīva)

स तुतेनप्रहारेणमैन्दोवानरयूथपः ।मर्मण्यभिहतस्तेनपपा त भुविमूर्छितः ।।।।

sa tu tena prahāreṇa maindo vānarayūthapaḥ |

marmaṇy abhihatas tena papāta bhuvi mūrchitaḥ ||

But Mainda, leader of the Vānara troop, struck by that blow upon a vital spot, fell to the earth senseless.

That blow hit the Vanara leader in his private parts, and Mainda lost consciousness and fell down.

M
Mainda
K
Kumbha (implied as attacker)

It underscores the gravity of conflict: even the strong can fall. Dharma-oriented reflection recognizes the human (and heroic) vulnerability within war.

After being hit at a vital point, Mainda loses consciousness and collapses on the battlefield.

Endurance tested—Mainda’s leadership is shown by his presence in the front lines, even though he is overcome by injury.
