लङ्कादाह-प्रचोदनं तथा वानर-राक्षस-समरारम्भः (The Burning of Lanka and the Outbreak of Battle)
तथैवाप्यपरेतेषांकपीनामभिलक्षिता ।।।।प्रवीरानभितोजघ्नुर्घोररूपानिशाचराः ।
tathaivāpy apare teṣāṃ kapīnām abhilakṣitāḥ | pravīrān abhito jaghnur ghorarūpā niśācarāḥ ||
Likewise, other terrible-looking night-rangers, picking out their targets among the Vānaras, struck down heroes on every side.
In the aforesaid manner the Vanaras struck more night rangers of terrific appearance, great heroes in front of them with sharp swords.
The verse shows that even in a dharmic war, danger is real and virtue alone does not guarantee safety; dharma requires perseverance and strategic awareness amid adversity.
