लङ्कादाह-प्रचोदनं तथा वानर-राक्षस-समरारम्भः (The Burning of Lanka and the Outbreak of Battle)

उद्घुष्टंवानराणां च राक्षसानां च निस्स्वनः ।दिशोदशसमुद्रं च पृथिवींचान्वनादयत् ।।।।

Transliteration

udghuṣṭaṃ vānarāṇāṃ ca rākṣasānāṃ ca nissvanaḥ |

diśo daśa samudraṃ ca pṛthivīṃ cānvanādayat ||

Translation

The monkeys’ roaring and the Rākṣasas’ cries rose up together, making the ten directions—along with the ocean and the very earth—resound.
