इन्द्रजितः ब्रह्मास्त्र-यागः तथा वानरसेनाविध्वंसः (Indrajit’s Brahmastra Rite and the Crushing of the Vanara Host)
सप्तभिस्तुमहावीर्योमैन्दंमर्मविदारणैः ।पञ्चभिर्विशिखैश्चैवगजंविव्याथसंयुगे ।।।।
saptabhis tu mahāvīryo maindaṁ marma-vidāraṇaiḥ |
pañcabhir viśikhaiś caiva gajaṁ vivyātha saṁyuge ||
That great hero wounded Mainda with seven arrows that tore the vital spots, and in the same battle he struck Gaja with five shafts as well.
Indrajith, the eminent hero, hurt Mainda in private parts and even afflicted Gaja with five spades in the battle.
The verse warns how knowledge of ‘marmas’ (vital points) can be used destructively; dharma requires restraint and right intent in the use of skill.
Indrajit systematically wounds Mainda and Gaja, key Vānara fighters.
Lethal expertise and battlefield dominance, contrasted implicitly with the righteous cause of Rāma’s allies.
