Shloka 6.73.33

इन्द्रजितः ब्रह्मास्त्र-यागः तथा वानरसेनाविध्वंसः (Indrajit’s Brahmastra Rite and the Crushing of the Vanara Host)

ततस्तेराक्षसास्सर्वेनर्धन्तोजयकाङ्क्षिणः ।अभ्यवर्षंस्ततोघोरान्वानरान् शरवृष्टिभिः ।।।।

tatas te rākṣasāḥ sarve nardanto jayakāṅkṣiṇaḥ | abhyavarṣaṃs tato ghorān vānarān śaravṛṣṭibhiḥ ||

Then all those rākṣasas, roaring and longing for victory, poured a dreadful rain of arrows upon the vānaras.

Thereafter the Rakshasas roaring and longing for victory rained arrows in a terrific manner at the Vanaras.

R
rākṣasas
V
vānaras
A
arrows (śara)

The verse warns against victory-obsession (jayakāṅkṣā) as a motive that can eclipse Dharma; righteous action is not measured by conquest alone.

The rākṣasa forces intensify the assault, using massed arrow-fire against the vānaras.

Relentless effort and unity in combat—again presented as capability, not moral excellence.
