इन्द्रजितः ब्रह्मास्त्र-यागः तथा वानरसेनाविध्वंसः (Indrajit’s Brahmastra Rite and the Crushing of the Vanara Host)
सकृदेवसमिद्धस्यविधूमस्यमहार्चिषः ।।।।बभूवुस्तानिलिङ्गानिविजयंयान्यदर्शयन् ।
sakṛd eva samiddhasya vidhūmasya mahārciṣaḥ | babhūvus tāni liṅgāni vijayaṃ yāny adarśayan ||
As soon as the fire was kindled—smokeless and leaping with mighty flames—those signs appeared that proclaimed victory.
From the fire set ablaze by the of fearing of fire sticks into it was free from smoke burst into flames indicating victory.
It contrasts omen-based confidence with dharma-based certainty: signs may suggest success, but the Ramayana repeatedly teaches that truth and righteousness ultimately prevail.
The ritual fire displays auspicious features interpreted as victory-signs for Indrajit.
