Dhūmrākṣa—fiercely wrathful and foremost among weapon-bearers—Akampana, Prahasta, and likewise Kumbhakarṇa: these heroes of immense strength, eager for battle, conquerors of enemy hosts and never defeated by foes, have been slain by Rāma of untiring deeds—those gigantic Rākṣasas skilled in many weapons. And many other brave and noble warriors too have been struck down.
"Dhumraksha, a highly intolerant one, Akampana, the foremost of the Rakshasas and skilled in the use of bow and arms, in the same way Prahastha, Kumbhakarna of stupendous valour and heroes among Rakshasas desiring for combat, who have never been defeated and conquerors of hostile armies, have been killed. Great heroes of huge body, skilled in the use of many weapons and other warriors have been killed by Rama."
It underscores the moral reality that power and martial skill cannot shield those aligned with adharma; righteousness ultimately prevails through Rāma’s steadfast action.
Rāvaṇa recounts the loss of Laṅkā’s foremost champions, acknowledging the scale of defeat inflicted by Rāma.
Rāma’s perseverance and unwearied commitment to his righteous cause (akliṣṭa-karma).
