त्रिशिरा–देवान्तक–महोदर–मत्त (महापार्श्व) वधः | Slaying of Trisira, Devantaka, Mahodara, and Matta (Mahaparsva)
स वेगवान्महावेगंकृत्वापरमदुर्जयः ।तलेनभृशमुत्पत्यजघानास्यमहागजम् ।।।।
sa vegavān mahāvegaṃ kṛtvā paramadurjayaḥ | talena bhṛśam utpatya jaghānāsya mahāgajam ||
Then the swift Aṅgada—hard to overcome—gathered tremendous momentum, leapt up with force, and struck down his great elephant with a crushing blow.
Angada, who was endowed with high speed, and exceedingly difficult to encounter, jumped up the huge elephant of Mahodara attacked him.
Courage joined with capability in defense of Dharma: righteous warriors respond decisively to protect their side and prevent further harm.
After enduring attacks, Aṅgada launches a powerful counterstrike against Mahodara’s elephant.
Heroic initiative and strength (śaurya): Aṅgada turns defense into decisive action.
