कुम्भकर्णवधश्रवणेन रावणविलापः (Ravana’s Lament on Hearing of Kumbhakarna’s Slaying)

O mighty one! Without drawing out the thorn of grief from me and my kinsmen, after scorching the enemy host all by yourself, you depart—abandoning me.
"O Kumbhakarna of extraordinary might! You have tormented the enemy army singlehanded with valour. You are going alone leaving me and the kinsfolk."
It highlights the fragility of relying on force as one’s sole support; Dharma encourages reliance on righteous conduct and wise counsel rather than on a single champion.
Rāvaṇa continues lamenting, recalling Kumbhakarṇa’s solitary prowess and expressing abandonment and helplessness.
Kumbhakarṇa’s fearsome courage and capacity to face an army alone are emphasized—valor as a virtue, though bound to an adharmic allegiance.
