Rāvaṇa, rising up in delight, embraced him. Kumbhakarṇa too—embraced by his brother and duly welcomed—then took his seat, splendid and exalted.
Getting up from his seat Ravana embraced and greeted Kumbhakarna. So also, he duly rejoiced and occupied the seat.
Even amid unrighteous aims, the verse highlights the social dharma of honoring kin and receiving a guest/ally with proper respect—embrace, welcome, and offering a worthy seat.
Rāvaṇa warmly receives Kumbhakarṇa after rousing him, and Kumbhakarṇa is ceremonially welcomed and seated in the royal setting.
Courtly propriety and familial solidarity—formal welcome and affectionate recognition between brothers.
