कुम्भकर्णदर्शनम् — The Appearance of Kumbhakarna and the Account of His Might
विभीषणवचश्श्रुत्वाहेतुमत्सुमुखेरितम् ।उवाचराघवोवाक्यंनीलंसेनापतिंतदा ।।6.61.34।।
vibhīṣaṇavacaḥ śrutvā hetumat sumukhoditam |
uvāca rāghavo vākyaṃ nīlaṃ senāpatiṃ tadā ||6.61.34||
Having heard Vibhīṣaṇa’s well-reasoned words, spoken for their benefit, Rāghava then addressed Nīla, the commander of the army.
Hearing the words of Vibheeshana, which was reasonable and, in their favour, Raghava said this to Nila, the commander in chief of the army.
Righteous leadership values sound counsel: Dharma in governance includes listening to reasoned advice and acting for the welfare of one’s people and allies.
After hearing Vibhīṣaṇa’s strategic and beneficial counsel, Rāma turns to Nīla to issue operational commands to the vānara forces.
Rāma’s discernment (viveka): he receives advice grounded in reason and promptly translates it into action through his commander.
