कुम्भकर्णदर्शनम् — The Appearance of Kumbhakarna and the Account of His Might

एवंप्रजायदित्वेषभक्षयिष्यतिनित्यशः ।अचिरेणैवकालेनशून्योलोकोभविष्यति ।।6.61.21।।

evaṁ prajā yadi tv eṣa bhakṣayiṣyati nityaśaḥ | acireṇaiva kālena śūnyo loko bhaviṣyati ||

If he keeps consuming living beings like this day after day, then before long, as time goes on, the world will become empty of beings.

"If he consumes created beings every day like that, in the course of time the world will be devoid of beings."

Unchecked adharma destroys the common good; Dharma requires restraining violence that threatens the very continuity of life in the world.

The devas warn Brahmā that Kumbhakarṇa’s daily predation will depopulate the world if not stopped.
