Mansions and shrines were ravaged, foremost Rākṣasas were slain, and the entire city of Laṅkā was thrown into turmoil—all by Hanumān.

Accompanied by thousands of Vanaras, Rama is approaching to besiege us and reaching the city of Lanka.

Adharma invites instability: when injustice rules, even a mighty power structure becomes vulnerable; the verse frames the disruption as a consequence demanding sober counsel and correction.

Rāvaṇa recounts the damage and panic caused in Laṅkā by Hanumān’s earlier incursion.

Hanumān’s valor and effectiveness in service—strength guided by purpose rather than mere aggression.
