Seeing that monkey shifting to the tip of the standard, the front of the bow, and even the top of the crown, Lakṣmaṇa and Hanūmān—and Rāma as well—were astonished.
Then, when Ravana was unable to release the arrow from the bow on Neela, who was shifting from the top of the post to the crown. Seeing that Lakshmana, Rama and Hanuman were amazed.
Dharma includes recognizing merit wherever it appears; even amid war, righteous leaders acknowledge extraordinary ability in their allies.
Nīla’s rapid movements across Rāvaṇa’s bow-standard and crown amaze Rāma, Lakṣmaṇa, and Hanūmān.
Nīla’s agility and daring; and on the Rama-side, the openness to honor excellence.
