युद्धकाण्डे एकोनषष्टितमः सर्गः
Rāvaṇa’s Assault on Nīla and Lakṣmaṇa; Hanumān Bears Rāma
ततस्ततेनाभिहतोवानरेणमहात्मना ।।6.59.62।।दशग्रीवःसमाधूतोयथाभूमिचलेऽचलः ।
tatas tenābhihato vānarena mahātmanā | daśagrīvaḥ samādhūto yathā bhūmi-cale 'calaḥ ||6.59.62||
Then, struck by that great-souled Vānara, Daśagrīva was shaken—like a mountain trembling when the earth itself quakes.
Thereupon, struck by the great soul, Vanara, the ten headed Ravana was shaken like the earthquake on the mountain together.
The verse underscores that adharma, however entrenched, can be destabilized by dharmic courage and service; the ‘mountain’ of tyranny is not immovable.
Hanumān’s counterblow lands with such force that Rāvaṇa is visibly shaken.
Hanumān’s strength in service to righteousness—power employed as a protector and ally of dharma.
