युद्धकाण्डे एकोनषष्टितमः सर्गः
Rāvaṇa’s Assault on Nīla and Lakṣmaṇa; Hanumān Bears Rāma
तान् प्रेक्षमाणस्सहसानिकृत्तानिकृत्तभोगानिवपन्नगेन्द्रान् ।लङ्केश्वरःक्रोधवशंजगामससर्जचान्यान्निशितान्पृषत्कान् ।।6.59.100।।
tān prekṣamāṇaḥ sahasā nikṛttān nikṛttabhogān iva pannagendrān | laṅkeśvaraḥ krodhavaśaṃ jagāma sasarja cānyān niśitān pṛṣatkān ||6.59.100||
Seeing those arrows suddenly shattered—like lordly serpents whose coils are cut—Rāvaṇa, the Lord of Laṅkā, fell under the sway of wrath and loosed other keen shafts.
Seeing the arrows cut down with force broken pieces like coils of serpents, the Lord of Lanka overtaken by anger let go another sharp arrow.
