प्रहस्तवधः (The Slaying of Prahasta)
ततस्तुनीलोविजयीमहाबलःप्रशस्यमानःसुकृतेनकर्मणा ।समेत्यरामेणसलक्ष्मणेनप्रहृष्टरूपस्तुबभूवयूथपः ।।।।
tatas tu nīlo vijayī mahābalaḥ praśasyamānaḥ sukṛtena karmaṇā | sametya rāmeṇa sa-lakṣmaṇena prahṛṣṭa-rūpas tu babhūva yūthapaḥ ||
Then Nīla, victorious and of great might, came to Rāma together with Lakṣmaṇa. Praised for his well-accomplished deed, the troop-leader shone with gladness.
Then Neela who was endowed with great strength met Rama and Lakshmana and was praised for his victory and the troops remained very rejoiced.৷৷ইত্যার্ষেবাল্মীকীযেশ্রীমদ্রামাযণেআদিকাব্যেযুদ্ধকাণ্ডেঅষ্টপঞ্চাশস্সর্গঃ ৷৷This is the end of the fifty eighth sarga of Yuddha Kanda of the first epic the holy Ramayana composed by sage Valmiki.
Righteous leadership acknowledges merit: praise is offered for a deed done in service of Dharma, strengthening morale and unity.
After defeating Prahastha, Nīla reports back and meets Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa; he is commended for his victory.
Nīla’s loyalty and effective service (sevā) to the dharmic cause, and Rāma’s fairness in honoring accomplishment.
