प्रहस्तवधः (The Slaying of Prahasta)
ततःप्रहस्तंनिर्यान्तंभीमंभीमपराक्रमम् ।।6.58.5।।गर्जन्तंसुमहाकायंराक्षसैरभिसम्वृतम् ।ददर्शमहतीसेनावानराणांबलीयसाम् ।।6.58.6।।अभिसञ्जातरोषाणांप्रहस्तमभिगर्जताम् ।
tataḥ prahastaṃ niryāntaṃ bhīmaṃ bhīma-parākramam | garjantaṃ su-mahā-kāyaṃ rākṣasair abhi-saṃvṛtam | dadarśa mahatī senā vānarāṇāṃ balīyasām | abhisañjāta-roṣāṇāṃ prahastam abhigarjatām ||
Then the mighty Vanara host beheld Prahasta advancing—terrible, roaring, huge-bodied, and surrounded by Rakshasas—and they roared back in rage.
The huge army of powerful Vanaras saw Prahastha of terrific prowess, fierce, surrounded by Rakshasas coming towards them roaring.
Dharma in battle includes meeting aggression with disciplined courage; fearsome display is answered by steadfast resistance for a righteous cause.
Prahastha sorties from Laṅkā with Rakshasa support; the Vanara army confronts him, both sides roaring as the clash begins.
Collective vīratā (bravery) and utsāha (martial zeal) of the Vanara forces in facing a formidable opponent.
