वानराणांशरीरैश्चराक्षसानांचमेदिनी ।।।।बभून्विचिताघोराःपतितैरिवपर्वतै ।

Transliteration

vānarāṇāṃ śarīraiś ca rākṣasānāṃ ca medinī | babhūva viciṭā ghoraiḥ patitair iva parvataiḥ ||

Translation

The earth lay strewn with the dreadful bodies of vānaras and rākṣasas, as though fallen mountains had been scattered upon it.
