धूम्राक्षवधः (The Slaying of Dhumrākṣa)
तेभीमवेगाहरयोनर्दमानास्ततस्ततः ।ममन्थूराक्षसान्वीरान्नामानिचबभाषिरे ।।6.52.8।।
sa tu pavana-suto nihatya śatrūn
kṣataja-vaha hariḥ saritaś ca sannikīrya |
ripu-vadha-janita-śramo mahātmā
mudam agamat kapibhiḥ supūjyamānaḥ ||6.52.38||
But the son of the Wind, having slain his foes and strewn across the field a river of blood, grew weary from the destruction of enemies; honored by the monkeys, that great-souled one entered into joy.
The monkeys endowed with terrific speed, proceeding from there roaring, proclaiming their names crushed the Rakshasa heroes.
Dharma is service with humility: even immense power is framed as duty performed for a righteous end, followed by communal honoring rather than self-glorification.
Hanumān, after defeating enemies and exhausting himself in battle, is celebrated and honored by the vānaras.
Sevā (devoted service) and mahattva (greatness of spirit): strength used for protection, coupled with acceptance of honor as recognition of dharmic action.
