सुपर्णागमनम् (Garuda’s Arrival and the Release from the Serpent-Arrow Bond)
अहंसखातेकाकुत्स्थ प्रियःप्राणोबहिश्चरः ।गरुत्मानिहसम्प्राप्तोयुवयोःसाह्यकारणात् ।।6.50.46।।
ahaṃ sakhā te kākutstha priyaḥ prāṇo bahiścaraḥ |
garutmān iha samprāpto yuvayoḥ sāhyakāraṇāt ||6.50.46||
O Kakutstha, I am your friend—dear as the very life-breath that moves beyond the body. I, Garutmān, have come here to aid you both.
"O Kakuthsa! I am Garuthman, your dear friend and your outer breath. I reached here to help you."
Dharma is expressed as faithful friendship—offering support to the righteous not as obligation alone but as heartfelt duty akin to safeguarding life itself.
Garuḍa identifies himself to Rama and explains that he has arrived specifically to assist both Rama and Lakshmana.
Loyalty and protective devotion—Garuḍa frames his help as intimate, life-sustaining companionship.
