Comforted by Lakṣmaṇa, Rāma performed the evening worship; yet, remembering Sītā of lotus-petal eyes, he remained shaken with grief.
Remembering the lotus petal eyed Sita, Rama who was distracted with grief, comforted by Lakshmana offered evening prayers.৷৷ইত্যার্ষেবাল্মীকীযেশ্রীমদ্রামাযণেআদিকাব্যেযুদ্দকাণ্ডেপঞ্চমস্সর্গঃ৷৷This is the end of the fifth Sarga of Yuddhakanda of the first epic, the holy Ramayana composed by sage Valmiki.
Dharma as disciplined conduct: even in anguish, Rāma maintains truthful religious duty (sandhyā), supported by family loyalty.
Night approaches; Lakṣmaṇa consoles Rāma, and Rāma completes evening worship while still absorbed in thoughts of Sītā.
Rāma’s self-governance and Lakṣmaṇa’s devoted service—steadfast adherence to duty and supportive companionship.
