सेनानिवेशः रामविलापश्च (Encampment on the Northern Shore; Rama’s Lament and Sandhyā)

बह्वेतत्कामयानस्यशक्यमेतेनजीवितुम् ।यदहंसाचवामोरूरेकांधरणिमाश्रितौ ।।।।

For one consumed by longing, life is bearable only because this is so: she of lovely thighs and I still stand upon the same earth.

Me and Sita are seeking refuge on the same land indeed. Because of that only survival is possible for me, who is desiring for her very much.

Rāma

Sītā

Dharma as steadfastness in suffering: even in intense personal anguish, Rāma endures without abandoning his righteous mission.

Before the decisive conflict, Rāma reflects on separation from Sītā and on what keeps him alive—hope and connection, however minimal.

Endurance (dhṛti): Rāma’s ability to continue despite grief, holding to purpose and hope.
