Lying on this bed of arrows and drenched in blood, covered over by a mesh of shafts, you still shine—like the sun as it sinks toward setting.

"Lying on the bed of arrows in the network of arrows, blood flowing out from the body he remains shining like the setting sun."

L
Lakṣmaṇa
S
Sun (bhāskara)

Dharma honors inner worth even amid ruin: Lakṣmaṇa’s radiance symbolizes virtue that remains luminous even when the body is broken.

Rāma describes Lakṣmaṇa’s wounded body on an arrow-bed, yet perceives a heroic splendor that persists.

Tejas (spiritual/heroic brilliance): Lakṣmaṇa’s dignity and nobility are depicted as undiminished.
