पुष्पकविमानेन सीताया युद्धभूमिदर्शनम् (Sita Shown the Battlefield in the Pushpaka)
तस्यतद्वचनंश्रुत्वारावणस्यदुरात्मनः ।।।।राक्षस्यस्तास्तथेत्युक्त्वाजग्मुर्वैयत्रपुष्पकम् ।
tasya tadvacanaṃ śrutvā rāvaṇasya durātmanaḥ | rākṣasyas tāḥ tathety uktvā jagmur vai yatra puṣpakam ||
Hearing those words of the evil-minded Rāvaṇa, the rākṣasī women replied, “So be it,” and went to where the Puṣpaka chariot was.
The evil minded Rakshasas listening to Ravana's words went to the aerial car.
It raises the dharmic question of obedience: following an unrighteous command implicates the followers in adharma, even when done out of fear or duty to a ruler.
Rāvaṇa’s attendants accept his instruction and proceed to the Puṣpaka to execute the next step of the plan involving Sītā.
The verse primarily illustrates compliance rather than virtue; it indirectly underscores the need for moral discernment (viveka) in service.
