Rama and Lakshmana, too, with arrows like venomous serpents, struck down the foremost rākṣasas—both those who were visible and those who moved unseen.
Then Rama as well as Lakshmana with their venomous snakelike arrows killed both visible and invisible principal Rakshasas.
Dharma here is protective action: the righteous warriors remove violent threats, even when the enemy uses deceptive methods like invisibility.
In the battlefield context, Rama and Lakshmana counter Rakshasas who fight both openly and through concealment, and they defeat the chief among them.
Steadfast valor and discernment—acting decisively against adharma even when the opponent is hard to detect.
