Angada, of tremendous strength, took charge of the southern gate, together with Ṛṣabha, Gavākṣa, Gaja, and Gavaya.
Mighty monkey Hanuman united with heroes Pramati and Praghasa and others protected the west gate.
Dharma is disciplined guardianship: strength is directed into protective responsibility, not personal glory.
The southern gate is assigned to Angada and a team of prominent vānara leaders to prevent sorties and breaches.
Angada’s valor combined with accountability—taking charge of a critical position.
