युद्धलक्षण-निमित्तदर्शनं तथा लङ्काद्वारव्यूहः (War Omens and the Encirclement of Lanka’s Gates)
ह्रस्वोरूक्षोऽप्रशस्तश्चपरिवेषस्सुलोहितः ।आदित्यमण्डलेनीलंलक्ष्मलक्ष्मण दृश्यते ।।6.41.18।।
hrasvo rūkṣo 'praśastaś ca pariveṣaḥ su-lohitaḥ | ādityamaṇḍale nīlaṁ lakṣma lakṣmaṇa dṛśyate ||
Lakṣmaṇa, a short, harsh, inauspicious copper-red halo is seen around the sun; and within the solar disc a dark mark is visible.
"Lakshmana! Short dark spot observed in the Sun 's orbit is inauspicious. moon is surrounded by copper colour and dreary."
Dharma here is vigilance and responsibility: a leader reads signs of impending danger and prepares to act without negligence.
