आप्लवन्तः प्लवन्तश्च गर्जन्तश्च प्लवङ्गमाः ।क्षेवळन्तो निनदन्तस्ते जग्मुर्वै दक्षिणां दिशम् ।।।।
āplavantaḥ plavantaś ca garjantaś ca plavaṅgamāḥ | kṣevaḷanto ninadantas te jagmur vai dakṣiṇāṃ diśam ||
Leaping and bounding, roaring and calling out, those plavaṅgamas indeed went toward the southern quarter—sportive in motion, yet ready for battle.
The monkeys went towards southern direction playing, leaping, running and roaring like lions.
Dharma is channeling strength rightly: exuberance is not wasted but directed toward the protection of a just objective.
The army’s march is vividly described—the vānaras move south with loud, energetic motions as they proceed toward confrontation.
Fearless enthusiasm and unity among the vānaras in service of Rāma’s righteous mission.
