लङ्काद्वारव्यूहवर्णनम् / Disposition at the Gates of Lanka
नरवानरराजौतौसतुवायुसुतःकपिः ।जाम्बवानृक्षराजश्चराक्षसश्चविभीषणः ।।।।अङ्गदोवालिपुत्रश्चसौमित्रिश्शरभःकपिः ।सुषेणस्सहदायादोमैन्दोद्विविदएवच ।।।।गजोगवाक्षःकुमुदोनलोऽथपनसस्तथा ।अमित्रविषयंप्राप्तास्समवेतास्समर्धयन् ।।।।
naravānararājau tau sa tu vāyusutaḥ kapiḥ | jāmbavān ṛkṣarājaś ca rākṣasaś ca vibhīṣaṇaḥ ||
aṅgado vāliputraś ca saumitriś śarabhaḥ kapiḥ | suṣeṇaḥ sahadāyādo maindo dvivida eva ca ||
gajo gavākṣaḥ kumudo nalo ’tha panasas tathā | amitraviṣayaṃ prāptāḥ samavetāḥ samardhayan ||
Sugrīva, king of men and Vānaras, with Hanumān the son of Vāyu, Jāmbavān lord of bears, and the rākṣasa Vibhīṣaṇa; and also Aṅgada son of Vāli, Saumitrī (Lakṣmaṇa), the Vānara Śarabha, Suṣeṇa with his kinsmen, Mainda and Dvivida, Gaja, Gavākṣa, Kumuda, Nala, and Panasa—having reached the enemy’s stronghold, assembled together and deliberated.
Sugriva the king of men and monkeys, Hanuman the son of wind god, Jambavan the king of Bears, Vibheeshana, Vali's son Angada, Sarabha, accompanied by his kin Sushena, Mainda, Dwivida, Gaja, Gavaksha, Kumuda, the wise Nala and Panasa arrived at the enemy city and collected together thought like this.
Dharma here is responsible leadership: before violence, righteous allies assemble, consult, and act with shared purpose rather than impulsive aggression.
Rāma’s coalition (Vānara leaders, Lakṣmaṇa, and Vibhīṣaṇa) reaches the enemy’s territory near Laṅkā and gathers to plan the next step.
Unity and disciplined counsel—many capable leaders coordinate under a common righteous aim.
