Here too are Śveta and Jyotirmukha, born of Bhāskara (the Sun); and Hemakūṭa, a monkey, another son of Varuṇa.

Dharma as rightful alliance: the verse situates the war within a moral coalition, listing champions whose very lineages suggest a cosmos-aligned support for Rama’s cause.

Śārdūla enumerates notable vanara warriors in Rama’s host, including those of divine parentage.

Legitimacy and strength through noble origin and committed participation in a righteous campaign.
